The Shimano XT brake kit consists of a Shimano XT BL-M8100 brake lever and a BR-M8110 brake caliper. The Deore XT range is one of the highest-quality ranges in the world of Shimano brakes. Its lever is mounted at an angle to provide two contact points on the handlebar, increasing rigidity and feedback. It offers very powerful braking and a relatively short lever throw for better intensity control.

Its single-piston brake caliper ensures effective and powerful braking for BMX Racing. It adopts the same design as the previous XT M8000 calipers, which means that resin pads G02A/3A/J02A/3A or metal pads G04S/J04C are compatible.

Its unique feature is the Flat Mount system. This is a mounting designed to be directly on the frame. There is no need for a disc brake mount, as long as your frame is Flat Mount compatible. You can recognize it by two mounting points on your rear dropout. Only a few frames are compatible with Flat Mount calipers. At Frenchys, the compatible frames are: Meybo HSX (Carbon / AL). The Flat Mount principle reduces the overall weight of the bike and allows for a cleaner finish. This type of mounting is commonly used in road cycling to increase rigidity and braking power.
